Hello, thanks for visiting, I started Akula to meet the needs of the African community in the United States and abroad; we also service french speaking clients in the U.S. and Canada.
“Akula” means TALK in Ciluba a language spoken in Kasaï, DR Congo.
As an immigrant myself and having worked in freelance interpreting and translation for years; I have lived among the community whose needs are very real. The language barrier is one of main challenges in establishing lives in a new country. Immigrants are vulnerable and during the transition period while they acclimate life in the U.S., without access to interpreting and translation services, they miss out on health and social services to keep themselves, and their families healthy and safe.
At Akula Interpreting and Translation LLC we are committed to the immigrant and refugee communities by helping them navigate the U.S. system. That experience has led us to extend our scope, and target any community or people around the world who is in need of our language services and also acclimate to life in a new place.
Akula Interpreting and Translation LLC aims to be a strong but humble aide and guide to make this world more accessible where everyone can TALK and have a VOICE.
