I was born in Kinshasa, DRC, or the Democratic Republic of Congo. Nested in the geographical center of the continent of Africa, the DRC is home to 80 million people and about 300 languages.

I grew up speaking languages simultaneously; I learned them from the school system, relatives and social interactions. I spoke four languages then and later learned a fifth one, English.

I am passionate about languages, words, people and communication.

At Akula Interpreting and Translation llc our goal is to give everyone a voice and thereby empower those who need our services.

What We Offer:

Remote Interpreting

With the changes to our world and livelihood that resulted from the CoVid-19 virus, the demand for remote services has blossomed. The pandemic abruptly altered our routines, and has forced us all to adapt, often requiring remote services.

Consecutive Interpreting

In consecutive interpreting the interpreter begins only when the speaker has finished the speech. Consecutive interpreting is when the interpreter listens to the source-language speaker and after a sentence or a part of the speech reproduces the speech in the target language for the audience

Simultaneous Interpreting

Simultaneous interpreters listen to what the speaker is saying while concurrently saying it in another language in real-time.
